The fascinating story of the establishment of the town of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains of NSW, including the history of the Scenic Railway. This book traces the people who lived here in the late 1800s, the pioneering developers who were drawn the world's richest oil shale deposits and associated coal seams, and the roles of those people and their works in the rise of Katoomba as a tourist town.
A rather chunky text with some fabulous ideas and highly informative explanations/ introductions. A colleague brought this book to my attention and I borrowed her copy. I had only read approx a quarter and decided that I needed my very own copy. This book needs time, focus and attention to be fully appreciated, absorbed and put into practice. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about creative ways to support mine and my children's mental health AND to encorporating suggestions from the authors into my daily/weekly/monthly routine. So far, the creative processes I have read about seem reasonably easy to implement. I think every household would benefit from this book!
I am so happy with this book shop and the ability to be able to buy online vouchers. They were helpful and friendly when needed.
The Wheel of the Year An Illustrated Guide to Nature's Rhythms is the perfect book for connecting in with the seasons and I know it will be a staple in our home for many years to come. So many gorgeous activities, information and wonderful illustrations, you really can't go wrong. I also love supporting independent business, and the Little Lost Bookshop offered delightful service!
A must read for anyone want to get ahead on LinkedIn
This book is so much fun. It moves at a great pace, brilliant humour and so original.
If you are looking for a great holiday read then this is the one.
