“Absolutely one-of-a-kind event featuring the grand master, scholar and mentor of the incredibly rare style of playing Ukrainian bandura, a string instrument that looks like a mix between a lute and a zither. Viktor Mishalow has been playing and researching the Kharkiv-style bandura all his life, helping to save it from extinction due to Soviet-era persecutions. He will present an exquisite selection of Ukrainian music ranging from ages-old historical songs and traditional folk tunes to classical-era compositions adapted or written for this incredibly rich and expressive instrument.

All proceeds will go to Ukrainian Crisis Appeal, a registered charity partnered with Rotary Australia providing humanitarian relief to those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”
